In the book of Luke in the Bible, Jesus tells his disciples that Satan has asked to sift them, as one would sift wheat on a threshing room floor, to separate the good from the bad. Jesus then encourages his disciples by telling them that he has prayed for them that their faith would not fail.

We’re going to be taking a look at ways that God shakes us out of our comfort zone, refines us and builds up the muscle of our faith for what might be coming…

The Superhero Parables

“Parable” = a story that has a spiritual point.

For the last few years, one of the biggest entertainment crazes in Hollywood has been the stories of the superheroes. Where did these superheroes come from? How did they get their powers? What is their duty to mankind now that they have these powers?

Inside of each of these fun comic book stories are deep spiritual points—lessons that will challenge us as we seek a deeper relationship with God.
