The God of the Bible is a FireStarter. He starts movements of life-change, creativity, love, service, and compassion that spread rapidly and cannot be extinguished. The Book of Acts is a book in the Bible about the beginning of the Church not long after Jesus rose from the grave in the First Century. It is about how God’s Spirit worked through everyday people to start positive fires that spread rapidly throughout the world. Some of which are still burning today in Cleveland…

Hydrate Cleveland

July 1st-31st

All during the summer, Mo groups will be giving away bottled Momentum water to unsuspecting folks. Be a part of this simple service project by heading to a Mo group this summer. Serve the world, baby!

Band Auditions

July 2nd-30th

We need more Cow Bell! Okay, not really. But we are looking for some more musical talent to add to the Momentum Band. Just grab your instrument, throw on your favorite rock T-shirt, and head to Garfield Heights for open auditions to see if you can rock it out with the band (or maybe just be a groupie).

We are looking for urban and rock musicians — sweet lead guitarists, funky bass players, smooth drummers, turntable DJs, rappers, vocalists, etc.

Email James to reserve your audition spot. Guitar Hero champs need not apply.

MoKidz All Hands Meeting

Our next MoKidz All Hands Meeting is Sunday, July 11th at The Rock Community Church from 3:00 – 4:30pm!

Creative Arts Cookout

July 25th from 12:30-4pm

A cookout is planned for for everyone involved in Creative Arts and their families (flyer). Creative Arts includes: Video Team, Set Design/Artists, Sound, Emcees, Lights, Band, Sign Language, Setup/Tear-Down, Pro Presenter, Graphic Artists, and the Serving Team.

It will run from 12:30pm – 4pm at Lombardo Park In Valley View. The entrance to Lombardo Park is Off of Charles Rd., which can be reached by either Stone Rd. or Canal Rd. Be looking for a flyer to be sent out in the coming future. Also please feel free to invite your families as well.

Independence Parade

August 7th at 12pm

Be a part of the Mo crew in the parade! Help us hand out Momentum water to thirsty parade-watchers while walking behind the rockin Mo band. We’ll need you there a bit before noon and the parade lasts about an hour—-a short and sweet way to serve the community. Contact Shelly. to indicate your interest in helping and to get more info.

Momentum 101

August 15th from 4-8pm

Does Momentum have you asking questions? Well, we can’t explain the comings and goings on the Cavs…but please come to Mo 101 and you will find out why Momentum “does church” the way we do, and learn the basics of Christianity. Attending 101 is also the way to become a full-fledged team member at Momentum. Just head over to Walton Hills Church of Christ from 4-8 p.m. Dinner and childcare (up to the 5th grade) will be provided. Sign-up Online or email us and give us your name, number of people attending, contact info and names and ages of children needing child care.
